Visita a Vivero «MIYAMA»
El 10 de mayo el Grupo San Diego con la guía de Ingrid Sieburger fue a conocer las instalaciones de Miyama Cultivos, orientándonos más específicamente en cultivos de cactus y suculentas. Es importante distinguir que este no es un Vivero común, sino que es un productor de plantines listos para el trasplante, o sea es un PRODUCTOR. La otra particularidad es que es un grupo familiar que hace más de 30 años que se encuentra en la actividad, y especialmente desde 1991 en que introdujeron el uso de Plug en la Argentina, lo cual los convierte en una empresa que se destaca en el sector productor. Hoy nos parece común ver los plug en los viveros con plantines de césped o vivaces. Nosotras tuvimos la oportunidad de ver este sistema en funcionamiento. En las naves dedicadas a cactus y suculentas vimos las distintas etapas de desarrollo de los plantines, desde la siembra y cría dentro de los plugs, hasta su envasado en distintas medidas.
Por supuesto no pudimos resistir la tentación y cada una de nosotras se llevó varias bellezas.
