El miércoles 7 de Agosto se llevo a cabo con gran éxito la “Jornada de Diseño” organizada por el grupo “El Ombú” de Pergamino.Fue dictada por la disertante Diana Mac Gibbon en las instalaciones de la Sociedad Rural de esa ciudad.
Se contó con la presencia de 16 socias de Pergamino y 6 socias de Colón, todas pertenecientes al Distrito Pampeano 1 del Garden Club Argentino.
A pesar de las bajas temperaturas, la jornada se desarrolló con mucho entusiasmo y fue un día “Garden” con todas las letras…Hubo alegría, compañerismo, ganas de trabajar y de aprender.
Por la mañana se trabajó sobre el concepto de “abstracción”. Para ello se usaron diapositivas a través de las cuales se pudieron apreciar cuadros, esculturas, y diseños pertenecientes al cubismo, fauvismo y expresionismo. Luego se focalizó en los conceptos de bidimensión y tridimensión con una sucesión de fotografías que mostraron como los grandes artistas argentinos Pablo Curatella Manes y Emilio Pettoruti incorporaron la luz y el espacio a su obra. ¡Fue una fiesta para los sentidos y el espíritu!
Tras un intervalo para el almuerzo se hizo un taller para aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos utilizando materiales como papeles, cartones, material vegetal, pintura, telas… Posteriormente Mac Gibbon dio su opinión acerca de cada uno de los diseños realizados por las participantes con el fin de alentarlas a seguir practicando y así dejar fluir la creatividad. También vimos las fotografías de la Exposición Alden Biesen 2012, que nos motivaron muchísimo para realizar los diseños en el taller de la tarde.
Se trató de un encuentro en el que se aprendió Historia del Arte de una forma amena y divertida gracias al histrionismo y vasto conocimiento de la disertante Diana Mac Gibbon a quien Graden Club le está muy agradecido.
